Heart Prints

Heart Prints

Becoming a mother has opened a new terrain in my life — one filled with love, wonder, vulnerability, and, at times, an overwhelming chorus of voices telling me how things should be done.

In the months leading up to my son’s birth, I made a quiet decision: to practice listening inward. To trust that there is a map within my heart — one uniquely mine — that will guide me through the unknown, the beautiful, and the hard. That instinct, that inner compass, is what inspired this print series.

Each piece in this collection began with a hand-drawn heart layered over a map — a visual metaphor for our inner navigation system. I used silkscreen to imprint this symbol across all 25 works, then altered each one through monoprinting, allowing energy, intuition, and experimentation to guide the process. No two are the same — just as no two paths in life or motherhood are the same.

These prints carry not just my artistic gesture, but also my quiet belief:
We already carry the wisdom we need.
We just have to learn to listen to it.
